Seeking Part-time Engineer for Customer Support & Design Assistance

Optimized Program Service, LLC is seeking an experienced engineer for its growing demands in the areas of customer support and design analysis.

The ideal candidate would possess the following qualities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Magnetic Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years on the job experience
  • Broad knowledge of the principles of electromagnetic transformer design, to include distribution transformers (dry-type and liquid-immersed) with varying KVA ratings, configurations and materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The following qualities in a candidate are preferred, but not required:

  • Proficiency and work based experience with the full selection of OPS Design Software programs (TRANS, TOPT, INDUCTOR, FERRO, HIREAC)
  • Experience with public speaking
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office products (2007 +)

The individual would be responsible for the training of new customers to familiarize them with the software and its functions. He/she would also be involved with the trouble-shooting and analysis of customer design requests as needed. Additional functions include, but are not limited to, assisting with conducting annual seminars, researching various design issues and consulting with and advising potential and existing clients for their design needs.

Initial status is part-time within this position, however there is potential for the position to transition to a full-time status.

  • Hours: A minimum commitment of 15 hrs/week.
